What are these things formi..

I've been getting these spots, mostly on my chest, that appear to be whiteheads, but they don't pop and they don't go away. A dermatologist once told me to just leave them alone and they'll disappear - but they don't. A few times I've dug them out with a pin and got out some white thing, THEN it went away... but others I opened up had nothing, and it stays. What is going on?!

They are probably a type of small, worm-like parasite living under your skin. If you leave them, it is possible they will grow large and burst out, much like that scene in the original Alien movie where the alien bursts out of the guy's stomach.

You need to find a better dermatologist. It sounds to me like cystic acne.

I agree, you shouldn't pick at them. Go to another dermatologist and get a second opinion. It could be something other than white heads.

Yes - get yourself to the doctor ... a different one!!

I had those too, my doctor had to give me an antibiotic, he did a test and found out that I had a skin virus. I picked it up from someone at work.
