Please help me answer the following questions. Any help is good.
Describe the wavelike and particle-like behaviors of light.
Describe the relationship between an action spectrum and an absorption spectrum.
Explain why the absorption spectrum for chlorophyll differs from the action spectrum for photosynthesis.
List the wavelengths of light that are most effective for photosynthesis.
Explain what happens when chlorophyll or accessory pigments absorb photons.
List the components of a photosystem and explain their functions.
Trace electron flow through photosystems II and I.
Compare cyclic and noncyclic electron flow and explain the relationship between these components of the light reactions.
AP Biology Photosynthesis Help?These are questions you should be able to answer with your AP Bio text. If you have the Campbell and Reese text, the answers should be easy to find. I'll give you short answers to your questions but, in order for you to learn the material, you need to look up the answers yourself.
1) Light can act like waves when we are talking about spectrums of light (uv, visible (red=long wavelenths, blue=short) and like particles when we are talking about light acting as packets of energy or photons (the things that provide energy to photosynthesis)
2) Action spectrum includes the light that provides the action (photosynthesis) and absorption is the light that the plant actually absorbs
