i have oily skin, blemishes and scars.. but i have a bit of dry spots in some areas. I wear covergirls liquid foundation, powder and concealer to hide them but it just makes it worse and when it comes to the afternoon my skin just looks all oily w/ all that makeup on.
oh and what face wash should i use?
What facial stuff should i use?Your skin sounds like mine! The trick to flawless skin, even with oil, zits and red scars from past break-outs is really simple.
First, treat the fundamental problem. I use Cetaphil cleanser, its gentle and non-lathering, so it won't aggrevate existing break-outs and it won't dry my skin out either.
After you wash your face, apply a "mattifying" moisturizer. I use Chanel's, but it's pricey. You can get a decent one for 9 bucks at Target made by No. 7 (a UK based cosmetics company). This will control the shiny look halfway through the day.
As for concealer, the trick is to use something creamy and the same shade as your foundation. If it's too light, it makes the blemish look even more obvious. I use Studio Fix by MAC. It's professsional quality, and super blendable.
I also use Studio Fix by MAC foundation. It's full coverage, you only need to use a little and build it in layers in trouble areas.(like cheeks or chin, where ever you have the scarring) It's 20 dollars a bottle, but a MAC make-up artist will help you pick the right shade and show you application techniques, so it's worth the extra money rather than buying 10 dollar Walgreens stuff...
