i have pimples on my face not zits and their kind of like blackheads, but only like 4 on my forhead and 5 on my cheeks and i have oily skin will they help with oily skin too?

The dermatologist will examine your face with a giant magnifying glass while you are lying down, maybe poke a pimple or two, maybe spray your face with a blast of liquid nitrogen to close the pores, and give you some free samples of different products to try to get you started while you have prescriptions for more of the same medications filled at your local pharmacist. A dermatologist will definitely help your condition. But it's going to be expensive and drawn out over time.

Probably put you on medications that cost a lot and don't work.

All the dermatologist is going to do is look at your face for a minute at the most and prescribe you a medicine for you to pick up at the pharmacy. It's not bad. It'll most likely be something like Differin, Duac, Triaz or something like that. Or you could try Proactiv. I found that Duac really works like a charm, and it also helps with an oily face.

Your skin will be analyzed to find out what is causing the plugged up pores. You may have them taken out with a suction pump (tiny), and get a prescription for antibiotic ointment. You may have to change your food intake to cut back on oil production. It won't hurt if that is what you are afraid of. Best wishes
